Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is presently two years through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial important honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would definitely consider lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
